iPhone & Apple Watch

How am I today? One screen tells you.

Apple Health stores the raw data; it doesn’t spell out what it means for right now. Your Body Battery opens on Today — body battery, recovery, and the metrics that matter, with guidance you can act on.

The app reads Apple Health on your device and turns it into real-time energy, sleep quality, stress, and daily strain. A morning briefing sets the tone; contextual insights and a weekly narrative help you plan — without another account or cloud vault for your vitals.

iPhone (primary) · Apple Watch companion app & complications · Requires Apple Health data

Built for people who already track health on Apple Watch

The Health app is a vault of numbers and charts — useful, but rarely prescriptive. Your Body Battery sits on top of that same Apple Health data and answers the question you actually ask each morning: how am I today? Recovery, sleep, stress, and training load in one scroll, with a fast mirror on Apple Watch — so you can decide whether to push hard or protect recovery, without shipping vitals to another company’s cloud.

Open the app before noon and get a morning briefing: wake body battery, last night’s sleep, today’s strain target, and recovery — plus a single line of guidance for the day ahead.

Scroll Today for contextual insights, sleep debt, and a scrubbable 24-hour drain timeline. When you want depth, dedicated Sleep, Stress, and Strain tabs — and Body Battery detail — are one tap away.

Everything the app does

Where Apple Health shows what was recorded, Your Body Battery shows what it implies — starting on Today, with deep dives when you want them. Here’s the full feature set on iPhone and Apple Watch.

Today home

Your default screen: hero Body Battery with wake start ring, recovery score, sleep/stress/strain row, contextual insight cards, sleep debt tracker, and a scrubbable 24-hour drain timeline. Link through to Body Battery detail for breakdowns and trends.

Morning briefing

On first open before noon, a focused sheet summarizes wake energy, sleep score, strain target, and recovery — with one actionable line so you know how to approach the day.

Body Battery (0–100)

Real-time energy with color bands and “started at” context. Detail view adds breakdown cards (sleep recharge, stress drain, activity drain, awake drain) and smooth timeline charts you can scrub to see what moved your score hour by hour.

Sleep analysis

Sleep score from your longest session: stages hypnogram, overnight heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, efficiency, heart-rate dip, consistency, and sleep debt on Today and in the Sleep tab.

Stress monitoring

Stress score from HRV and resting HR vs. your rolling baseline. Timeline across the day, zones, workouts called out, and breakdowns like peak stress and recovery windows.

Strain & target

Daily strain with cardio, strength, and passive components; cumulative timeline; dynamic strain target from sleep, recovery, and yesterday’s load; HR zone summaries.

History & weekly review

Tap the date header for a calendar heatmap — switch metrics and jump to any day. Weekly summary adds a plain-language narrative (“strain target met 4/7 days…”) plus wake vs. end body battery and metric trend charts.

Glossary & what-if

Tap info icons for in-app glossary terms on any metric. What-if sliders on detail screens let you explore how sleep or strain might change your scores — without guessing.

Onboarding & notifications

Welcome flow, Health permissions, optional profile, up-to-90-day historical import, and toggles for morning summary, post-workout recap, stress alerts, bedtime nudge, weekly summary, and more — all scheduled on-device.

Settings & data

Light / dark / system theme, sync interval, subscription management, Health access, profile fields, data export, algorithm changelog, and links to policies for the stores.
